Are you a Stress Yawner?🥱 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Recently, I worked with 2 female clients in the same week who were both dealing with stress and anxiety. One in her late 20's, the other in her early 70's. Both complained of excessive yawning and said that this is a regular thing for them. They would feel a need to yawn accompanied by a tightness in their chest. Both were fatigued from poor sleep- hence, more 🥱 yawning 🥱.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀


Yawning is also linked with elevated cortisol, which is a stress hormone in the body. This may be why yawning is related to anxiety and fatigue, both of which place the body under stress.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Relaxed breath work is encouraged during a Reiki session. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

But if you can't see a practitioner for whatever reason... try taking a nice deep breath (count to 4), and slowly exhale (count to 8). Repeat upto 10 times 🤗.⠀⠀
